About Us
So I am a mum, nana and great nana. All the kids have flown the nest and I can now step off the money merry go round and do something for me.
I love unique, colourful jewellery and struggle to find my style in shops. So I decided to make my own.
I love trying new crafts and have thoroughly embraced the use of resin to create my products from. Resin is so versatile, and can be used with so many things that there is no limit to what can be made. I have tried a few types of resin and found one that i like, which is odourless, non yellowing and beautifully clear. It also works well with the mediums that I use. Also, unlike glass (which I love) resin is a lot more durable, which is handy when you are as clumsy as me, always dropping things. :)
I love trying out new ideas and using leftover craft items from other projects to make unusual jewellery As with most crafters, I am also a bit of a hoarder, keeping leftover beads, threads etc, because "I can use that for something". With resin, I have found that I can use all these things and feel a moment of satisfaction that these items are not just being thrown into landfill.
I have been crafting all my life, making things for friends and family as gifts, but recently gave up employment for self employment and am now making so much more. I also appear at some of the craft fairs around Darlington, Co. Durham, so you can see my items in person.
Due to the fact that I only make a few items at a time, it is almost impossible to reproduce the exact same colours for these items. Therefore, there is only 1 available of most items. When they are gone, they are gone.
When I am not in my craft room, I am working on my dog grooming business with my 3 fur babies watching every move :).
