Dog Memorial

For all dog lovers out there. Our dogs are a major part of our lives and when we lose them it is heart breaking.

When I lost my Shepard cross, Alfie, I had his ashes in a box for years because i was not ready to let go of him. In a plain, white box, they were moved from room to room, getting in my way ( as he so often did :) ) and eventually I was persuaded to spread the ashes. Unfortunately, this meant I was only left with a few photos of him and a big Alfie shaped hole.

When my folks lost their beloved rescue, Jess, I started looking for alternatives to keep her with us, on display. 

Having her ashes turned into a glass paperweight, ornament was practically the only pretty alternative that I could find. But that is so expensive, that most people can't afford it.

So back to square 1.

I decided that I could do something, more financially accessible to all, and have come up with a couple of designs, of which this is 1.

Using a tiny amount of ashes, I can make several little bits, paw print, heart, star etc. These small items can then be put onto a heart shaped base, with space for a T light. 

The example I have shown here is actually Jess's ashes, with my dog's old tag.

The small items can also be turned into key rings, to keep with you at all times.

What you will get - when you order this, I will contact you and discuss options ( colour of Heart base, colour of base for small items ( I have used pink here for our princess), and what your options are for extras. I will then need you to provide a small teaspoon of the dogs ashes and their name tag ( if chosen) to me. Once I have this, and you agree to the final design, I will get to work. Any ashes not used will be returned to you with the finished item.

Each item is handmade, therefore it may have imperfections, like air bubbles.

Now our pets can stay with us at all times, on display, not just in our hearts.
